AES specializes in cross platform, open source technologies for development of enterprise class, Web enabled business applications, content management systems for online and print publishing and digital libraries. These technologies include:

the Enterprise Java platform (J2EE),
the Oracle relational database management system, and
the "LAMP" standard open source architecture stack, including the PHP, Perl and Python programming languages and the MySQL relational database management system.

AES also leverages standard components such as the Zope and Plone content management platforms. We were also early adopters of the Django, Struts and Spring application frameworks.
